This policy explains what information Papin Guitars collects through papinguitars.com and when you contact us by phone, text message, email or a form on this site, and how we use it. Papin Guitars is Joe Papin, building guitars in Newburgh, Indiana.
Information you give us. When you call, text, email or fill in a form, we collect what you send: usually your name, phone number, email address and details about the guitar, build or repair you are asking about.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We may also use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site.
If you give us your phone number and tick a consent box on one of our forms, we may text you about your inquiry, appointments and your build. If you also tick the separate marketing box, we may send occasional shop news and merch updates. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of buying anything.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. See our Terms for the full text message terms.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run this website and our customer messaging, and with the shipping carrier when we ship your instrument, and only so they can provide that service. We may also share information when the law requires it.
This site does not use advertising or social media tracking cookies. Forms and analytics tools on the site may use cookies that they need to work and to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
The site is served over a secure HTTPS connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
We keep your information for as long as we need it to answer you, complete your build or repair and keep basic records, and then delete it.
